M2 Physiotherapy
About the Practice
Head, neck, and face pain has a way of taking over your life. It's hard to ignore a migraine, a clicking jaw, or chronic ear pressure when you can feel it every minute of every day. M² Physiotherapy in Carmel was built around exactly that problem — and the patients who walk through the door have usually already tried everything else.
Founder Molly Mattingly, MPT, DHS, CMTPT, ASTYM Certified has spent her entire 25-year career sharpening one specific skill set: a manual, hands-on approach to musculoskeletal pain. Her doctoral work focused on craniofacial pain, and the practice's treatment philosophy reflects it — decompress the head, neck, and spine first, then layer in education, strengthening, and lifestyle changes so the relief actually sticks. Every patient gets a full hour, one-on-one, with their therapist. No aides, no double-booking.
Beyond Dr. Mattingly, M² has grown into a team of board-certified and fellowship-trained therapists who share the same hands-on philosophy. The clinic's combined expertise spans craniofacial pain, orthopedics, pelvic health, and airway-informed therapy — a useful range given how often jaw, neck, breathing, and pelvic floor issues turn out to be connected. Patients can be matched with the right therapist for their specific issue without leaving the practice.
A first visit runs about 60 minutes — roughly 20 minutes of evaluation followed by 40 minutes of hands-on treatment, plus a home program to get you started. Most patients are seen weekly at first, then spaced out as symptoms improve. The average patient is in and out in 4-6 visits, which is part of why people drive in from Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, and beyond.
What patients walk away with isn't just lower pain scores — it's the ability to chew, sleep, work, and stop thinking about their head every minute of the day. For many, it's the first real progress after years of bouncing between providers.
Ideal for patients who:
Have been through multiple providers without relief from head, neck, jaw, or face pain
Want a hands-on, manual approach instead of exercise-only PT
Are willing to take an active role through home exercises and lifestyle changes
Value one-on-one care and longer appointments
Are referred by their dentist, orthodontist, ENT, or oral surgeon
Great results with:
TMJ/TMD and jaw dysfunction
Headaches and migraines
Facial pain, sinus pain, and ear pressure
Neck pain and cervicogenic headaches
Tinnitus and post-surgical scarring
Pelvic health concerns
Airway and breathing-related dysfunction
General orthopedic and musculoskeletal pain
Not a fit:
Patients who want a passive experience and aren't open to follow-through with home exercises, ergonomic changes, or habit shifts.
What to expect
Your first visit is 60 minutes — about 20 minutes of evaluation and 40 minutes of hands-on treatment, with a home exercise program to take with you. Most patients see meaningful change within 4-6 visits, typically once a week to start, then tapered as you improve.
